ANNUAL ASSEMBLY

As part of WUSC's International Forum, WUSC will hold its Annual Assembly on Saturday November 12th 2011. WUSC members - Local Committee, institutional and alumni representatives - from across the country attend this business meeting.

This year's meeting will include:

- Report from the President of the WUSC Board of Directors
- An election of five regional representatives and the position of Treasurer

a. receiving the report and recommendations of the Board of Directors;

b. receiving the financial statements of the Corporation and the report of the auditors thereon;

c. electing officers and directors;

d. appointing auditors and fixing or authorizing the Board of Directors to fix their remuneration;

e. transacting such other business as may properly be brought before the meeting.

Participation

Each Local Committee can send one voting delegate and as many observers as they wish.

Institutional Members - universities and colleges from across Canada - can send one voting delegate and as many observers as they wish.

Up to 25 alumni members can attend the Annual Assembly as official voting delegates. In the event that more than 25 alumni members apply, elections will be held to determine the official voting delegates. Assistance with travel costs is available for up to 15 of these delegates from outside the Montreal-Toronto-Ottawa corridor. As well, to be eligible for a travel subsidy, you must have made a financial contribution (minimum $25) to WUSC in the past 12 months.

Note: Alumni can submit their interest to apply for Alumni voting delegate to Vicky Sioris at vsioris@ wusc.ca before September 18, 2011.

Nominations to the Board of Directors

WUSC is currently seeking nominations for five regional representatives and a Treasurer. Those interested in submitting a nomination must read the Call for Nominations to the Board of Directors and then fill out the Nomination Form. Nominations for the elected positions must be received at WUSC by 5:00 pm EST Saturday, October 22, 2011.
